Our basic policy

Suspicious calls

Incoming calls are judged only by matching the phone number against lists inside your phone. The content of your calls is never touched, and no permission to read your call log is obtained. Records of stopped calls are stored inside your phone only.

Dangerous sites (the VPN mechanism)

To stop connections to sites that run scams or show fake warnings, the App uses Android's official mechanism (the VPN feature) inside your phone only. Traffic never passes through an outside server, and all processing finishes inside your phone. We never obtain a record of the sites you visit, the contents of your traffic, or anything you type.

The app check and the device check

The list of apps installed on your phone, the check of where they were published, the check of their permissions and the confirmation of the device state are all carried out inside your phone. The results of a check are never transmitted outside. The permission to see the list of apps is used only for this check.

Your contacts

Only when “Let people in your contacts through” is on does the App check, inside your phone and at the moment of each call, whether the number is in your contacts. Contact data is never transmitted outside and never copied and stored.

Location

Only when you choose “Never warn on this Wi-Fi again” in the notice about Wi-Fi without a lock does the App ask for location permission, in order to obtain the Wi-Fi name (this is a requirement of the way Android works). What is stored is only the Wi-Fi name replaced by symbols that cannot be read back; neither the Wi-Fi name itself nor your location is stored or transmitted.

Statistics

Statistics such as the number of items stopped are stored inside your phone only and are never transmitted outside. No account registration is needed.

The contact form

Choosing “Contact” in Settings opens our website's contact form in your browser. The name, email address and message you enter there are held by our site and used only to respond to your enquiry. They are never provided to third parties. The App itself never collects this information.

Managing your purchase (use on one device at a time)

To prevent one purchase from being used on several devices at the same time, the record of purchase issued by Google Play (the purchase token) replaced by symbols that cannot be read back, together with the device identifier (ANDROID_ID) replaced by symbols that cannot be read back, is sent to our server, and just one device is registered as the one used for that purchase. These values cannot identify you, your Google account or your device. This information is used only for managing your purchase, never for advertising, and is never provided to third parties.

Managing the trial period

To prevent the free trial from being obtained again and again by uninstalling and reinstalling, the device identifier (ANDROID_ID) replaced by symbols that cannot be read back, together with the time the trial started, is sent to and stored on our server. These values cannot identify you or your device. This information is used only for managing the trial period (preventing misuse), never for advertising, and is never provided to third parties. If you have already purchased the App, this is not sent.

The trial record is registered on our server wherever the App is used.

When communication takes place

(1) When the lists used for the watch (dangerous sites, ranges of phone numbers, genuine apps) are received from our distribution page (only when the App is used within Japan; outside Japan the lists built into the App are used and this communication does not take place). This communication contains no personal information.

(2) When the billing mechanism of each app store (Google Play and the like) is used for the outright purchase. Payment information is managed by the store provider, and we never obtain credit card numbers or anything similar.

(3) When the identifier replaced by symbols that cannot be read back and the trial start time above are sent to our server for managing the trial period.

(4) When the record of purchase and the device identifier, each replaced by symbols that cannot be read back, are sent to our server for managing your purchase (use on one device at a time).

Advertising

No advertising of any kind is shown inside the App.
